MAGIC OF MAKE UP.

I believe almost no one is suppose to look ugly. It is a matter of choice. Lucky for girls there are countless ways of improving looks, and one of those is make up.

No, the girl in the picture is not just any girl next door, she is a celebrity without make up.

This is what she looks like after she applied her second face some cosmetics. Yep, she is Jessica Simpson. Amazing, isn't it. I would say almost unbelievable what can be achieved with some Mascara, base and lip gloss.

Here is another example of a celebrity without and with make up. Jennifer Lopez looks pretty average without her magic make up, yet with make up she has ample sex appeal and looks absolutely drooling hot.


Now being a male, it obviously is easy to talk, as we don't have to apply anything to look good, we were just naturally born good looking. ;) But in my humble opinion, make up for girls is an absolute must. I cannot imagine a girl leave her home looking anything less than her best.

It is a well known fact that Pamela Anderson is not aging well, and I love, sorry Pammy, to use her as an example. How she could appear in public looking like this is beyond me. Not a trace of make up, and she looks like sh scary. I would think with her financial ability she should have quite a few make up kits lying around on her dresser to dip into quickly before she pops out for her daily dose of ciggies.

Now I also love using Katy Perry as an example, but for different reasons. She is always, and I mean always, dressed to stop traffic. And her make up is always done to perfection. I am a eye shadow fan, blue preferably, and those red lips, man, she looks smokin' hot! Not to mention her sexy legs.(Now Katy, if you read this, next time, some red varnish on those nails please.)

Now it is your turn, what do you think, look like Pammy without her make up, or look like Katy with her make up, you let us know. I know my money is on Katy.

CELEBS WITHOUT MAKE UP ON MONDAY MORNING....

Do I have to say more, celebs, just like the rest of you girls have to wear make up to bring out the best in them.
Jennifer Lopez is a good example of what a celebrity looks like without make up.


Even my favorite, Katy Perry needs a little help in the morning to be herself.

FASHION: TURN ON AND TURN OFF.

I had a very interesting request for a next post from my dear friend, Dena of Pretty Little Things. This is what Dena said:

"Colin I like to see more post from you on beauty seen by men, what do they find attractive in a woman when it comes to character and looks.

"What are the biggest turn off according to Colin?"

Mighty dangerous ground? Yep, it is, specially coz 90% of my readers are ladies.

I think men are more inclined to look at a girl's "outer" than her "inner" qualities.... first impressions anyway.

What I first look for in a girl is femininity, I like a girl that is soft, feminine and girly. She doesn't have to be drop dead gorgeous, or have a perfect figure. There are loads of less beautiful and less sexy girls out there that will catch the average male eye just as fast as the most beautiful girl in the world. (sometimes even faster, coz the most beautiful girl might think the sun is shining out of her backside, a major turn off!) Now to me there are certain things that are synonym with femininity, and again, this is my preferences. Long, well kept hair, color varnished nails, make up, a dress or skirt, heels, ear rings. You will notice that these are all things that a man is not suppose to use or have, or wear.

Let's look at Heather Tom, the perfect example of what a girl should look like. Now I specially love her hair.



Something else that catches my eye is confidence. Confidence in a nice way, not the "I know I am gorgeous and everyone else is ugly" kinda confidence, coz that is a major turn off. Not just to men.

Here is another example of what a typical girl should look like - hair perfectly done, nails painted, red lips, well dressed and heels. Now do not get me wrong, I know a girl cannot look like this all the time, but at least when you go somewhere with someone special, make an effort to look special.



Other turn offs, and I speak for myself here. Bad odors, no matter, male or female, man I wanna get sick when someone smells like an open grave. I think that is the most terrible turnoff for me.

When I look at a girl, first things I notice are her nails and hair. Long well kept hair to me is a bonus, and the same with nails. Nails with colored nail varnish on, and half the varnish is chipped off, YUK. Goo under the nails....bleeeh, terrible.

I have posted this pic before, but this is the perfect example of what a girl should NOT look like. If you zoom in on her one hand you will notice chipped nail varnish. If you zoom in on her feet, you will notice......uhm, don't rightly know what to call that, you call it what ever you like..... I just know, if I had to go somewhere with her, I'd politely ask her to walk some ten paces ahead of me, just so people don't think we are together.



Unshaven armpits and unshaven legs.... yuk! Another turn off.

You know, I think loads of people get divorced simply because people let go. The believe or attitude is, I am married now, I do not have to look after myself anymore, be that male or female. You got to keep looking great for your partner, no matter what. Your partner must be proud to go places with you. Make small changes, not so your partner would ask, "who the hell are you?" but something that will make your partner take a second look at you, or make your partner fall in love with you over and over again.

I hope that answers Dena's question, and I know I am going to get loads of flak from some readers, I am not going to mention any names, haha... but this is my opinion, take it or leave it. I am in the fortunate position that I married a girl that has all of these good qualities, so it is possible to be like this. And believe me, she will not go anywhere if she doesn't feel dressed properly, or if her hair isn't perfect. I reckon pride has a lot to do with it also.

Well, it is time for you girls to pick up the stones, let me know when to start ducking. Do I expect too much, and men in general, do we expect too much from the fairer sex? The floor is yours, you can start throwing.

MEGAN FOX VS ANGELINA JOLI.

One of my readers, Tris of The Girlie Blog commented and asked if I thought that Megan Fox will be the next Angelina Joli. Now I am not sure that Megan will ever be able to quite fill Angelina's shoes, but I thought it would make a great discussion, so I am going to put the question to my readers. What do you think, is there any chance for that? Will Megan be able to get the same recognition as Angie?

Let's take a look at Angelina, first of all, and this is purely my opinion, but, she has a class of her own, I am sure, had she not been a well known celebrity, she would be one of those people who walks into a room and she immediately gets every one's attention.

Angelina looking lovely, wearing a shortish dress and sexy high heeled, peep toe shoes. Now I do not know about you, but I think she will have to put on a few pounds...



I couldn't help it, I just had to add this picture of Angelina and my childhood hero, The Dirty Harry detective, Clint Eastwood.



This to me is Angelina like I used to remember her, a really stylish girl. (carrying a little more weight) Don't you just love the dress, the high heeled peep toes, and what catches my eye is the red handbag matching the red toe nails and red shoes...



Now in my opinion, Megan Fox on the other hand, is more sexy, a sudden kind of sex appeal.... a sex appeal that kinda bumps into you.

Megan looking absolutely stunning in a short black number, wearing Christian Louboutin ankle strap peep toe shoes. Now her make up is brilliantly done, that in my opinion, is an eye catcher!



Megan looking breathtakingly stunning! Short black number, hair a mite wild, just the way I like it, a pair of high heeled peep toe shoes. In one word, fabulously sexy!! Did I say one word? Sorry, one cannot fully describe Megan in one word only.



Megan caught unawares, flaunting a pair of sexy legs, wearing a very ordinary dress in my opinion, with a pair of sexy high heeled sandals. I love her hair, it looks fantastic!



So what do you think, Megan, or Angelina?

If I had to, shall we say, risk my neck, I would venture to say, the guys and younger girls will vote for Megan, the more mature ladies will vote for Angelina.

A QUICK THOUGHT

I have posted on this before, however, this morning I read a post on Stephanie of Chic Femme blog about celebs without make up, and after Heidi of Health Nut Wannabee Mom commented on my previous post about wanting celebs' stylists, I thought I must share this with all you lovely girls out there. Celebs without their stylists are just what every other girl is, a normal human being, just like you.

Will you take a guess who this girl is?


She is a well known celeb... however, I will be mighty surprised if you know who she is.

And this girl??



Surely you will recognize this girl, she is one of my favorites when we talk sexy legs, however, sadly she is not aging well. And without make up...? Let's not go there...



Now let's take a peek at what our girls without make up looks like after they have spend hours and hours and thousands of dollars with their stylists.

The girl in the first pic was no one else but Ava Longoria. Now I would never in my wildest dreams have imagined that she looks like that when she wakes up in the morning.

Here we see Ava looking stunning, her celeb face in place, wearing a sexy dress, flaunting a pair of sexy legs, complimented by a pair of sexy high heeled sandals!



The second girl, Paris Hilton, same here, a lot of spit and polish, and this is what she looks like when she is dressed to kill. A completely different picture, I am sure you will agree with me!?



The last girl, Pam, looking sizzling hot in a short dress....Legs to die for... Looking 100% better than in the previous picture. Now you tell me those legs are not sexy.... specially with her wearing her high heeled C L Pigalles.



So, do you folks agree with me, all celebs are just ordinary people, but with a little bit of effort, just about any girl can look like them, and most even better.
And you do not really need an expensive stylist to look like them, believe me, what you need most of the time is the lights expert when the photographs are taken.

I'll further bet you look better than most of them when you wake up in the morning... :-) I know my wife does! hehehe, and no, I wasn't forced to say that....

BEING FEMININE?! (100TH POST)

Why do boys like girls? Maybe I should rephrase that, why do most boys like girls? Now each has the right to his or her own opinion, but my opinion is, I fancy girls coz they do not look like me, or other men. I like my girls to be feminine and soft. Even if she is not an oil painting, or stunningly beautiful, as long as she is feminine.

I mean, why would I want a girl that looks like a man, that's mighty boring.

So what makes for a feminine woman?

Let's take a look see at Cindy Crawford in this pic. Start off with long, great looking hair, make up applied to perfection, blush, mascara, lipstick, and maybe some eye shadow... Of course a sexy smile will add some pizazz to the picture.



Diane Kruger, again, colorful lipstick, sexy, shortish dress, flaunting long, sexy legs, and thin strapped, high, stiletto heeled sandals. Nails, both finger and toe nails, painted a lovely color. Now you tell me that is not feminine....and sexy....



Rachel McAdams got quite a few thumbs up on my last post, so I thought I'd use another pic of her. I think she looks so lovely here. Love the curl in her hair. Doesn't she look very feminine? What I especially like about her is the innocent look.



New girl here, Dana Delany, looking mighty feminine! And she is not young anymore....



Of course, sexy stockings and specially fishnets will add to the total femininity, not to mention to sex appeal.



I of course think pink is a true bonus when it concerns femininity. Petra Nemcova, (looking smoking hot) one of my favorites, dressed in pink. If however I had my way, I would have added some nail varnish, but my wife tells me, I cannot always have my way.... wonder why not....

How about some more new faces and legs.

This young lady, Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, has never been on my blog, nor do I know what her claim to fame is, but I am sure one or more of my readers will be able to help us out here. What I do know is that she looks stunning, love the lip color, love the dress, love the shoes, absolutely stunning!



Another new face, Brenda Song, looking quite sexy, although I am not a big fan of those C L's she is wearing. I guess they are a little chunky for my taste, but I am sure lots of my readers will love them. The skirt and top? great!



Jenni Falconer, looking gorgeous.... and happy! Here too I am at a loss as to where she fits into the celebrity hall of fame....



This young lady, Cheryl Cole, deserves her spot in the "lime light", I am sure you will agree with me. Stylishly dressed, very elegant, and the make up is perfect! Truly a pretty picture.



I must admit, I am slightly embarrassed, I have no idea where any of these girls fit in, and here is another one I do not know. But, to me that's not important, what matters is that they are all extremely well dressed, and all of them make a great statement. Here we have a stunning looking Katrina Bowden. Love those strappy, stiletto heeled sandals, very feminine and sexy. Maybe I should not say it, but it is a pity she didn't go the extra mile and painted her nails, that in my opinion, would have perfected the picture.



Do you know who this young lady is? Are you able to tell us who those lovely legs belong to. There is a tiny catch, but it cannot be too difficult. (Incidentally, for those readers who are ready to attack me for posting a cropped picture, this picture was sent to me in the cropped condition, it was not done by me, just thought I'd mention it in mitigation.) It was however selected as it will make it a little more difficult to put a name to her.

JENNIFER ANISTON.

My last post taught me at least one thing, quite a lot of my readers are very fond of Jennifer Aniston, so I thought it wise to post a few pics of her. Now I am not particularly fond of her, but I have nothing against her, in fact she is a lovely person. Only, in my opinion, she just does not always dress very colorful. Most of the time her make up is a might pale, and her attire in general is mostly dreary and completely without imagination or color. But, I am here to make friends and get more readers, and majority rules! So here is Jennifer.

Jennifer in a casual outfit, plain pinkish dress, thong slip slops and pony tail.



A slightly more colorful Jennifer, one of the very few pics I have where her toe nails are actually varnished.



Maybe I Should not have posted this pic, I don't think she ever thought that this would be taken, not very elegant I would say.



One thing I have to say that counts in Jennifer's favor, she does have nice legs, now this pic proofs that beyond any reasonable doubt. Those stiletto heeled court shoes obviously make a strong statement.



Here is more proof! A might of color in the dress, although one of my readers - will not mention names, will say it looks like a foil dress or couch fabric. We are admiring the legs here ok, not the attire. :) Again those stiletto heeled sandals help to emphasize the shape of her legs. (By now you should all know that I look at legs long before I notice the dress.)



The wrong shoes? Is that a smile? Or is it an expression of absolute pain and suffering?



Definitely pain, no doubt about that! Those shoes are gonna end up in the trash can, you can bet your bottom dollar on that!
